Great success of HP Keymark in 2017 and even bigger growth expected in 2018

In 2017 the number of CEN Heat Pump KEYMARK certified products dynamically increased. Our report on the KEYMARK certificates granted over the past year shows how the HP KEYMARK scheme answers to the request for a robust tool to ensure quality requirements based on a single approach.

In less than two years after the CEN Heat Pump KEYMARK certification was introduced into the market, the HP KEYMARK certified products  have registered a considerable growth. The number of KEYMARK certificates rose to 312 by the end of 2017 – up from 81 in 2016 – with much more numerous certified products, if considering that each sub-type, corresponding to a single certificate, may consist of several different heat pump models.

The HP KEYMARK certificates have been issued by four certification bodies, namely DIN CERTCO, RISE, BRE and VDE, while new ones are being prepared by ICIM, BBA and SZU in early 2018. 18 brands are currently using the HP KEYMARK certification and their number is growing fast.

In fact, an even bigger development is expected for the new year: according to the certification bodies, over 300 new certificates will be issued, thus the overall number of valid certificates is expected to double by the end of 2018.

The HP KEYMARK applies a systematic concept of quality to all heat pump types certified and offers a single certificate for a single European market.
